This book is written in the first person from the viewpoint of Mike the ranch hand . It has a definite western twang to the writing, but its an enjoyable story. Mike & his boss Janene's world changes when dinosaur bones are found on their ranch and the paleontologists come to search out more bones. Theres a bit of every thing in this book. Mystery, mayhem, adventure, cowboys, a bit of romance and dinosaurs, all set in Big Sky country Montana.

The writing is a little choppy and lacks detail I love, but overall it kept me coming back for more. It was a good read!

Fascinating account of the machinations behind the scenes that encouraged Roosevelt to assist the Brits in their battle against Hitler. For those with some degree of paranoia about the way Washington and other governments work, this is a must-read.

I am actually sad that I finished this book last night. It was not at all something I thought I'd like: a sci-fi-ish book where 24 kids are sacrificed each year at the "Hunger Games," a battle to the death. However, it was one of the most compelling books I've read in a long time. I loved the main character and couldn't wait to read about her daily adventures. There were times at night when I knew I should quit reading, but I just had to read "one more chapter", which turned into 3 or 4. The book has a sequel, which I will definitely await. For those of you unsure, it's a little Harry Potterish at times (weird character names, fantastic elements), but there is also much realism and parallels to our world. Worth a try for anyone!
Excellent prose, incredible descriptions - and a great story.
