The Review: The book opens with Jerry leaving to go chase after his could-be daughter. So yes, it was a noble adventure and all, but why did it have to happen on New Years? What can Glory do, pout? Nope, she’s a big girl and decides to check out a few chick-flicks to pass the night away. Little did Glory know that her protégé would decide, against her advice, that New Years Eve was the night to see for himself if he could drink alcohol with out ill effect. Reality sets in while the two take a boat out on Lake Travis where they are drawn to the siren Aggie who, having angered the Goddess Circe, entraps the two of them into paying her penance by providing three other vampires for ritual sacrifice. As the fourth book in the series, the story just keeps getting better. It throws in just the right amount of humor, quirky banter, and adventure. Glory could be anybody’s best friend. Gerry Bartlett makes you feel like you’re joining up with a group of friends. As long as she keeps putting out the books, I will keep reading them.

Crazy to start to feel a difference after just doing some exercises, but the pain I've had in my upper back is almost completely gone and my headaches aren't coming in the unstoppable frequency that was really starting to worry me. Definitely recommend this if your body is in pain.

Another great mystery with Joe the game warden. This one involves his mother-in-law. Nate is back in this book. Box writing appears to be getting more refined. If you have read his other books this one is easier to follow.

In its larger scope, this book reminds me of nothing so much as the movie Alien. There's the French army, girding itself to fight a normal, terrestrial enemy, and suddenly half a dozen panzer divisions burst out of its own chest. Very scary.

This book was amazing. A very intersting story from a view that we will never know. I kept me on the edge of my seat. I was rooting for him and just wanted to scream at the father! Loved it. I recommend for junior high and above. Definitely a YA book.
