** spoiler alert ** This is the third book of the Harry Potter series written by J.K. Rowling. And again, I loved it. This book was about how Harry returns to Hogwarts for his third year. His powers were about to get taken away because he blew up his aunt. She was talking crap about his parents, and he couldn't take it, so he casted a spell on her. I would totally do the same thing if somebody disrespected my DEAD parents like that. Show some respect to the dead. He was going to get his powers taken away because he wasn't a wizard of age yet. He was too young to use magic in the outside world. Harry gets to mad about his aunt that he leaves. When he leaves, the minister of magic is there to meet him. He tells him that he won't be getting his powers taken away. He stays in a weird hotel for a few days till his friends Ron and Hermoine see him. Near the end of the book, it is revealed that Sirius Black, the supposed criminal, is actually his godfather and he wasn't really a murderer. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time when Peter Petigrew killed the innocent humans and blew himself up as well. When the Ministry of Magic finds Sirius, he is put into a secured room in Hogwarts. While Dumbledore, Hermoine and Harry were talking, Dumbledore implied that Hermoine do something with her time turner. Harry and Hermoine went back in time to make things right and Sirius escaped with Hagrid's hippogriff. I loved this book. I've probably read it 3 times. Definitely one of my favorites from the whole series. I am in love with Remus Lupin. He is so mysterious and charismatic in the book. He's probably my favorite professor from Hogwarts(besides Dumbledore)

Now, this is a thinky fantasy novel. And a touching romance. And a whole lot of fun. Bujold is an excellent prose stylist. She tells her tale in language that is elegant, artful, and unnoticeable. She is not a wasteful writer: any detail she chooses to recount is going to be important later on. Her characters are well-rounded, her plot without obvious flaws. What a great find!

I looved this book, i like the footnotes, they explain soo much about "demons" and the "other place". I also love the detail Stroud puts into this book. I like how it is a modern fantasy instead of medevil or ancient, althogh Bartimaeus is ancient.

If you want a to read book about Asperger's, this isn't it. It was a good story, but I was expecting to have it focus more on the autism of this child. If that is the kind of book you are looking for, read House Rules by Jodi Picoult.
