that will be the last availiable book of Allende in Iran. I couldn't wait to read it!!! well, I read it. that was ok. all the names are familier if saw " the mask of zoro" with antonio banderas before. Diego Delavega.Tornado. Bernardo. Speranza! but as I love all kind of history! that was good. but in compare with other books, this last one is less amazing and interesting. but read it. you'll like it!!!

Really good characterization of a girl on the cusp of womanhood. I am always impressed when authors can write from a younger person's point of view so realistically. The well-developed characters are what made this simple and touching story compelling.

I love Harry Bosch, Detective, but this book did not do him justice. Twists and turns galore. I understand that this was published as a serialized magazine story and it should have stayed there or been published in paperbook. I read the large print book and it was only 300 pages, so I woud imagine the regular book was about 150 pages - magazine size. I feel very let down by this book and will not give up on Michael Connelly - will give him another chance.

Perhaps this pulp would have been more fun without all the racisim and super manly-man hero. Still, the opening chapter to this book has some nice images of horror to it. After that point, meh...

i just love a good vampire story. This one was no exception. Set in the near future, Sunset brings, humans, vampires, and a warrior race called Sentinels into a magical, high-tech battle. Alliances and betrayals, loss and joy are all experienced. At the center of the story is Nick. A charismatic vampire who is the one who exposed the vampire world to the humans and now must help deal with the consequences of his actions. The magic and technology were entertwined and the vampire world was facinating. Almost as fascinating to me was the love story that was also central to Sunset. Nick is a gay vampire. I personally have not read very many love stories where the central characters were gay (erotica aside that is...but that's totally different) And while at first it was a little uncomfortable, I soon found myself hoping that Nick would choose the man I wanted him to be with! And Arshad Ahsanuddin wrote a few steamy love scenes, but nothing was graphic or crude the way even some mainstream romances can be!! All in all I really enjoyed Sunset and have already purchased the next in the series, Sunrise.

Laught out loud funny in so many parts. Like a dirty version of a Sedaris memoir. I loved knowing that my family isn't the only group of crazies out there. But, some parts were just plain over the edge sick.

To be honest when I first started reading this book, it felt rather dreary, but then as you read along, it comes alight. It is wonderful without adding spoilers, or delving into a lengthy analysis. Its a beautifully written book, not to mention a beautifully strung story. In the end it will make you look at your own life, in a very profound way. Love that!
