Without a doubt my favorite Christopher Moore book. Not for religious fanatics who may take this book as complete blasphamey. Its a completely entertaining account of a story everyone thinks they know.

This book reminded me why I love Victoria Dahl’s books so much! It was funny and sexy and there was just enough drama and mystery to even it all out. Tessa was hilarious and I loved that she was smart too. She managed to get herself into lots of trouble but she did it because she’s got such a big heart. She was really good at playing her brothers, they bought everything she said until she got caught. And Luke was yummy! Even as conflicted and screwed up as he was, he was still yummy! LOL And the brother’s, boy I can’t wait for their books! Especially Eric’s. That man is wound WAY too tight. And Jamie is just a hound dog, always getting himself into trouble because of a woman. I recommend this book to all romance lovers! Buy it, read it, love it!!!

I don't know if I have the rights to say much about this book. Like many people, I have decided to see what the big fuss was all about. I've only read like 50 pages of this book but it gave me enough reasons why I didn't ever want to continue reading. Read in an article once that it was the adult version of "Twilight". I should've known, if a book compares itself to "Twilight", you know it must be a failure. One, the annoying female character. She keeps talking to herself in her head, trying to ration herself without much success. Classic "I know I'm not beautiful but enough so that men with devious secrets should want me" kind of woman. Can't keep herself for falling for THE wrong man. Can't keep her pants on for 5mins after one look at the young, powerful, gorgeous looking man. Don't know when she in over her head. Two, domineering male character with wicked secrets. Doesn't know why he's falling for the girl, just that he can't help himself. Wants everything to go his way, why not he's wealthy enough to do so. Kissing THE girl in the elevator 5seconds after telling her to stay away from him. Dugh. feels sorry for himself when he has everything that he could ever want! This is what I gathered after reading 50 pages or so. And you just know where this is going at this point. I will never be ready or understanding enough to read about that kind of sex. I hate myself for purchasing this book thus perhaps making the book stay in the best seller list a little while longer. I feel very betrayed and tricked into buying this book. Will never read the rest of it.

A história não é má, dá para passar um tempo agradável na companhia da mesma, no entanto dá a sensação que foi escrito a correr por algumas pequenas falhas com que nos deparamos ao longo das páginas. Para além disso penso que o título é demasiado forte para a história que encontramos. Penso mesmo que induz o leitor em erro ( pelo menos foi o que aconteceu comigo que não li o resumo na contra-capa).

Meanwhile, another author publishes a book called We Lives In Da Ghetto and it's the hottest selling book which will be made into a movie. Monk opens the book, reads the first few paragraphs and is mortified to realize this is the "black experience" that the publishers are asking for. Under a fictious name, he writes a book which is "black." He's disgusted by it, and horrified to discover that he gains instant success and money. This is an awesome book which explores various themes on family, race, bigotry, and "what sells." I loved the humor and found it to be a brilliant book.
