This book was really good. It kept my interest so much I read it in less than a week.

This first in the 'Love Means...' series, it sets that tone for the subsequent books. Andrew writes this story with what he does best, and that's introducing two men, showing more than a passing interest, mixing a lot of sweetness and dropping a lump or two of angst in there along the way. It's a sweet easy read that'll leave you smiling.

So far, aside from the first volume which had that "introductory magic" this has been the best in the series! The cross time wackiness is amazing, and Kitty Pryde (who is my favorite X-men Character) really gets to take center stage through most of this book. I'm also really enjoying the manner in which their A story of time stream jumping is in a way just the background of the B story line involving Technet and Courtney.

Hush, Hush was chosen by teen voters as one of YALSA's 2010 Teens' Top Ten books. Place a hold on this book and pick it up at one of the Chemung County Library District Branches!

one of my favourite books of all time. Wish I had lived in America during that era.

Really dated, but interesting... if you're interested in VBAC. I quit reading it because it turns out it is NOT on the CAPPA reading list as I thought. I'll be reading The VBAC Companion by Diana Korte instead.

Once you get to chapter 10, the book picks up and gets really interesting. But before that, it really drags on!

I normally love Jennifer Weiner's books, but I can only say that I liked this one. I think it was the fact that I wasn't ever really sure how to describe the plot: it's a bit rambling, and there's no clear cut turning point, climax, or denouement. The switch from first to third person narration was interesting, but I could see where it would turn others off; ditto from past to present scenes. There's not much redemption to Valerie and it's unclear how she and Addie rekindle a friendship; it's also not a very believable resolution to Valerie's situation with Dan. I also need to make note of how blatant patterns appear in the books, and I wish it'd be a little less obvious. Any Jennifer Weiner novel is pretty much guaranteed to contain one or more of the following: fat girl/woman, swimming, pregnancy (I so saw this one coming), absent male father figure, infidelity, male willing to father another man's child.
I'm saving $100k and going with this instead.
