Fantastic!! Leaves you with such a sweet spirit in your heart and soul. I loved the powerful quotes from a prophet of God. You can truly tell just how much President Hinckley loved the women of the church. The artwork was also so beautiful and inspiring. I read it in less than a half hour but I know that I will keep it close to re-read often.

As much as I LOVE zombie books, I honestly couldn't get into this one. I was all excited to start this book, but when I started to get further into the story, I almost gave up. Mary is just never happy with what she has. Ever. She is a very useless character who wallows in self pity. This book was also very slow, nothing really happens until the middle of the story.

this is just one of those books that you have to go and and buy for your home library. i can relate because i am an artist. this book helped me get through a my hard times when i felt isolated from my friends at school and family. But Creig showed me how to get over it and be myself and not try to be like everybody else.

My esteem for this book rose when I read the following volumes in the trilogy, so it should come as no surprise that my second time through it was even more enjoyable than the first. Maps and character guide aside, Bakker doesn't hold the reader's hand much in introducing his world. So there's a great deal of content, especially early on, that was more potent this time -- plus there's some very interesting foreshadowing. This book is the beginning of something amazing, full of thought-provoking characters, sorcerous intrigue and dizzying philosophic depths. It's a rich feast, not suitable for every pallet, but well worth the journey.

A good overview, or introduction to the events of WW1, with good maps. Unfortunately Taylors sneering tone is overwheling at points. I am in no way pro-war but I don't think this kind of thing helps-there is no need to put flippant captions to so many of the photographs. Good maps.
