*** I wrote a nice review of this book and the internets ate it. Let this be a lesson to you all! *** I enjoyed how the author portrayed teenage relationships. She made them feel real and not really childish, but allowed the characters to make the common mistakes people do when they're young in order to show their growth. The conclusion was quite nice, though the main character seemed to act overly dramatic which had not been her tendency before in the story. The letters were a great way to tie up loose ends and clarify some characters motivations and personality quirks. If you like Sherwood Smith, coming of age stories, or read the occasional light adventure/romance, you should give it a try. :)

Fantastic! I read this during an amazing weekend at a camp. It was AMerican Thanksgiving and I was relaxing for a full day while a friend went hunting. I didn't leave the couch until I closed the back cover. It made me think back to my many childhood friends and it made me miss my sisters drastically. The book made me smile, feel warm inside, and shed a few tears. I love a book that can make you feel SO many different emotions in a few hundred pages!

Another amazing book in the Psy-Changeling series! I think I loved this book even more than the first because there was more to the PsyNet and more talk about the Psy way of life. I'm such a sci-fi geek! Plus, I'd been hoping Vaughn would get a happy ending. He was so tormented and lonesome in the first book. I hope in the other books they still talk about/interact with the other characters so I can get glimpses into their new/developing relationships. I love this series. <3

still reading this, but from the first 100pgs so far, it's polished, rounded writing. the memories from his childhood are pregnant with meaning and symbolism: lizards, surfing waves, papelitos rojos, security guy at an airport. He tells you what he and his friends did with lizards, then mentions something later in the chapter and ties it back to lizards with such elegance. Then in the next chapter, that symbol is mentioned again in a different context, thus adding unifying themes and adding cohesion. it's exactly what my fiction writing teacher tried to teach us to do. As you're reading, key artifacts from his childhood keep swirlinging in your mind and he never lets you completely forget them b/c all of a sudden he'll bring it back to papelitos rojos or waves or lizards again.

A great ending to the trilogy. I don't want to write any "spoilers." Suffice it to say that it's action packed, full of wild stuff, has several horrendous parts, but ends without leaving you wishing the series went on. That makes this reader happy! :-)
