Hmmmmmmm.......The idea might be great. The writing is decent enough. The problem is just one --> It really needs editing. Really really need it. 1. I think the book is too long 2. I sense a discontinuity between chapters. Each chapter in this book actually retell some major events but the current event seems like it has no connection with the previous chapter. 3. I don't get why everyone, event the parents and friends, is so interested in the main characters' love lives. It's like no one can't stop commenting on it. The author put too much focus on the main characters' love story. Really...that's pretty much the focus. But if the point of interest is very slow in development you will hear the same story again and again. "... He's so handsome.. I like him as a friend...I don't think he likes me...I don't want to destroy our friedship". Each chapter is always like that. 4. Too many added characters but no depth. The characters, even the main characters, are not well fleshed out.

I read this book when I was younger and didn't get a lot of it, so I probably need to reread it. I just remember I liked it because there were talking animals, and I cried when Boxer was shipped to the glue factory.

Oh, oh, oh, oh, OH! Cate Tiernan you do write a good book! Nastasya is one of the best book characters I have met in such a long time! She's not afraid, but she is. She's tough and determined to change what has been her life for so very long. I cannot WAIT to see what happens next! I can't believe I have to wait until September though! Read 2.27.11 2.3.13

It has been a few months since I have bought a manga. "Skip Beat" is a wonderful series that I have been following for a few years now. The art is fantastic and the storyline wonderful. The relationship developing between Kyoko and Ren is interesting. But I am also wondering how Sho will still be involved. Can't wait to see what happens.

Antología desigual. Hay algún gran poeta, y hay otros que se dicen poetas.

This is the most entrancing book I've ever read. I'm so glad I finally found Murakami: I can't recommend this enough and I can't wait to read more of his work.

The Walking Dead, a black-and-white comic book written and created by author Robert Kirkman, premiered in 2003. Since then, the series has spawned over 80 issues, 13 trade paperback collections, t-shirts, an upcoming video game adaptation, and a television series on AMC. Not bad for a comic book, something that many people believe only children should read. The comic follows the story of Rick Grimes, a police officer from rural Kentucky, who wakes from a coma (trite, I know!) to discover himself one of the few survivors of a zombie apocalypse. Chaos ensues. Society has collapsed. Electricity, running water, cellphones, and the Internet have failed. The way of life Rick (and the readers) knew is gone. Sound familiar? It should. In recent years, Hollywood has produced a number of zombie apocalypse-type films including Zombieland, Quarantine, The Crazies, a remade Dawn of the Dead, and many others. Even Britain has gotten involved, offering the 28 Days Later franchise and the humorous (believe it) Shaun of the Dead. What makes The Walking Dead different is that it isn’t just about the initial zombie outbreak. That time has past. It is now time for the human survivors to band together and forge a new future, one they never envisioned or expected in their wildest nightmares. Where will they find food? How will they keep warm during the winter months? Can they find the antibiotics necessary to cure an illness we would otherwise consider trivial? The Walking Dead, you see, isn’t so much about the living dead, called “Walkers,” preying upon survivors (though horror fans will not be disappointed). The story is about life and how precious it is, about how all of us can take technology, safety, and our loved ones for granted. As the comic claims, “In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally start living.” Like my post on Richard Matheson’s I Am Legend, I encourage skeptical readers and those who do not read comics or the horror genre to give The Walking Dead a fair try. Start with the trade paperback Days Gone Bye (artwork featured), a collection of the first six issues of the comic series. You could be thrilled to discover something you never expected to enjoy. Note: Do not be mislead by the fact that this is a comic book. It is NOT for children. Very adult content abounds.

In this Jack of Fables collection, we get a glimpse into Jack's past from a few hundred years ago, one of his early encounters with Bigby Wolf. And apparently, we are gearing up with a lot of the present-day stories in the book for a big giant crossover story with Fables, focusing on the Literals from the book (like Mr. Revise and Gary, the Pathetic Fallacy), which I think is fascinating. I'm not sure yet what the story at the beginning of this book with Bigby Wolf has to do with the rest of the story, but I trust all will be revealed in time :) I have nothing but love for Fables and Jack, so I enjoyed this thoroughly and recommend both series for anyone to read.
