I could relate to this book because I'm in a book club myself with a group of ladies.. we're all friends of friends that have come together. Each of the women in this story had stories that were real, could happen to anyone and they were able to get through their hardships by depending on their friendships. Good Read..not too heavy.

This book is by Sharon G Flake and she has wrote many book i am currently on the second one called MONEY HUNGREY.... This is not a series but they are all wrote by her. Some of her other books are BEGGING FOR CHANGE. This book is about a girl named Maleeka and she is very poor and he dad died. Now its just her and her mom. Ever since her dad died her mom found a big intrest in sewing and so maleeka's mom tells her that she has to wear what her mom makes her, her mom refuses to buy her any clothes. So maleeka and her "Friends" at school make a deal that if she does there homework that she can wear there clothes. Everyone at school loves to make fun of Maleeka for everything wheather it is because she has really dark skin or because her mom makes her clothes or just anything. Then along comes a teacher she comes in wearing all designer clothes and expensive stuff. All the kids start to wounder what a lady like that is doing at a school like theres..... Kids at there school skip class, vandalize school property, and get horrible grades. The kids learn that this teacher is here and she means busniess. Will Maleeka choose between right and wrong? and betweens friends and trouble?

The first chapter of this book talks about why John Cusack is to blame for the downfall of modern relationships and I thought to myself, "I love this already." But by the time I was finished my opinion had changed a little. Each section is witty and ingenious in its own way. Klosterman has a lot of original ideas, but can sometimes be a little long-winded in expressing. Each chapter was a few pages too long and by the end, it began to feel like he really liked to hear himself talk. And I was sort of tired of listening. Still a quick, entertaining read, easy to skim and probably worth it.

This book is amazing. It is deceptively simple. It works. I started it in August last year. He has you doing, much, much less, but achieving gargatuan feats in a few months. The idea is you do less, and achieve much, much more. At first it was painful - you pare down to the absolutely necessary and MUST limit yourself to only a few things that you focus on at any given time. For example, if you are making changes in your life - you can only work on one new habit a month. But wow, once you get a few months under your belt, you are truly embedding new habits into your life in a fairly painfree way. Highly recommend this book. A simple elegant solution for our riduclously overworked, fragmented attention, multi-tasking lives. Do not underestimate this simple, easy to use system. I have started writing again, exercising, eating healthily, getting up early to work on passion projects ... each month an amazing change awaits you. Love it.

I was really engaged in this book, even though I found the ending really disappointing. I guess that doesn't make it a bad book- just a bad ending. It is incredibly heart-wrenching, though...be prepared for that.

I have to admit that I find Russell Brand one of the most appealing and funniest men on earth. That out of the way, his story is remarkable. He has managed to overcome some extremely serious addictions to become a popular TV presenter and radio personality and film star. At times his story is inspiring, at others I wished there had been better editing. Funny and sad. Enjoyable.
