Best when he is describing his travel in places far from the United States. More of the same wisdom is espoused regarding the virtues of being a loner and solitary refinement. Some of it is very repetitive though and I would have liked a memoir that spared some of the boring details, but it's not like I have the balls to publish my own diary.

Charley is back again trying to help Cookie with the disappearance of her friend. At the same time Charley is trying to figure out the mystery with Reyes. I think I preferred the figuring out what happened to the friend over what is going on with Reyes. I thought she was a bit cold and not really to figure stuff out fast enough and in the end I had more questions than answers. Having said that I thought it was funny at times and touching especially at the end but I had some challenges with the Reyes story line. This book is more like a crime mystery than a PNR so if you want romance I think you could be disappointed. 3.5 Stars

Excellent nonsense, had me rolling on the floor! This is the first of Robert Rankin's books that I've read. It was recommended to me by my brother-in-law who said that Terry Pratchet's work was a poor copy of Rankin. I can see the similarity but can't say that I agree with him. A great read for anyone who has a sense of humour.

Sure to be appealing to 6th graderish level readers, this funny book about the wisdom of Dwight's origami yoda is a organized as an investigation to discover the true nature of this mythical creature's ability to solve problems and/or predict the future. Each chapter is told from the perspective of a different classmate, with comments from classmates Harvey (a doubter) and Tommy (the investigator compiling these first hand accounts). Illustrations scrawled in the margins add to the fun.

This book is amazing. I loved how the begginging section was arranged by power food, so you can look immediately to the food itself for inspiration, and then go to the recipes that follow. I've made a few things from this cookbook and enjoyed them all.
