The eleventh commandment of the title is "Thou Shalt Not Get Caught" apparently, and that is the sum total of all I can remember of this book other than the fact that it's climatic scene sees the protagonist with a sniper rifle in an American football stadium. Not Archer on his best form, lacking the wit, tension and the sweep of his earlier thrillers like Not A Penny More, Not A Penny Less and Shall We Tell the President.

Love, love, LOVE this book. It is just the right combination of awesome, hilarious, creepy, and cool. Maureen Johnson is one of my favorite authors, and this is by far her best book yet (which is really saying something). Highly recommended.

Creepy. This book gave me goosebumps. I was almost afraid of sleeping because I might have same nightmares. The book is unique. I liked how it was written, the pacing was okay too. I like stories about the battle between good and bad in a juvenile's mind, and eventually the good prevails. The story has something like that and one's mind corrupted with power too. And a story about not giving up on a friend. I liked that. I liked this quote from the book: "But...even with all the bad stuff, he was still my friend. And if your friend's drowning, even if he's trying to drown and struggling to shake your hand off his sleeve, you don't let go, do you?"

Really more like 3.5 stars. I enjoyed it, but I didn't think it was as good as Uglies. I'll finish the series though; the plots are very interesting and they're fast and easy reads.

Based on the reviews, I was expecting to give this book 5 stars. It was a very unexpected book and perhaps one that I will like more over time. Very well written and quite a good story. It was helpful to read the interview with the author at the end of the book to better understand her intentions with the audience. The point of view from a 5-year old boy was very well handled and the author threw in reminders as you read the book.

do not read this book if you have loads of work to do cos it will stop you. I read it in a week, despite a busy scheduale I had. you will miss it when you finish it. you just want the story to go on and on.
