The man at the library check out desk told me he smiled all the way through this book. It took me a little bit to get into the book at first, but once Juliet was on Guernsey I knew what he meant. I was amazed at how well I felt I knew the characters just from the letters and with so many different characters. I thoroughly enjoyed the little mysteries and stories and to see Juliet as an author working through the process of writing a book and making wonderful discoveries along the way.

eh, parts of this book made me really laugh. it was kind of dark and sad but it didn't really do much for me. the ending really sucked. the books itself was drawn out and went on and on during unimportant moments. then towards the end, bam it just kind of ended promptly. it was as if the writer just gave up or something like it.
