** spoiler alert ** I picked this book up on a clearance rack because of its bumblebee spine. I know A.M. Homes from a contemporary fiction class I took (though A Real Doll is much harder to read than this). I love how fast the book moves and how the narrator proceeds through the incidents with such acceptance. It shows the change he has made from leaving the hospital. I hated the ending, though. I felt like, for a book so surreal, it took a moral turn. I couldn't say how I would have preferred it end, it was just not satisfying at all. The majority of the book is worth the read, however.

Of course I gave this book five stars! How could you not? It's so great and fun to read. I took the kids to see the movie when it came out and it was very well done.

I absoultely love this book of poems and return to it often. the poet is a lovably neurotic lady. My word, she expresses so well the exasperation and desperation and confusion of life as well as its tender side- somehow with just a few lines, she can have you laughing and crying at the same time, relating all too well to the craziness of trying to make one's way in the world...

Really, what's with the value/rating fetish, Goodreads (and everybody else)? I give infinite unstars to everything. No superlatives please. I'm sure nothing I can say is going to convince you to read fourteen hundred pages. If you like lists, commas, opium and a little sonic texture, you might get into this. There's a good deal of repetition going on throughout, but I think it plays the same role as in a poem, i.e. builds tone with emphatic gesture.

Read this book! It's funny. Grace has a wickedly black sense of humor and a dry sense of irony that makes her irresistible to the reader in spite of her compulsions. We all fall in love with her too. More importantly, this book is a romance that is about falling in love like it really tends to be--messy with lots of mad, passionate sex and tears and break-ups and most definitely, no flowers. It's fun--read it!

Decided to reread this very good cozy mystery since I had not read it in over a decade. Its an enjoyable read during a rainstorm or in a snowstorm. Like all Cat Who books the characters are well written and their relationships are done in a way to make you think that its a real town. It also is a ad for another book Short and Tall Tales with a few short stories of Moose County's history. The only problem I had was that the ending felt a little rushed and the reader might be able to solve the case before Qwill and Koko but it is still sort the read.

This has to be one of my favourite books, and it is a classic if you ask me.

I like Gary Chapman's books, and this one was good too, but not the right timing. It's geared for couples who have been married a while and are losing the spark. I was looking more for a book on building your marriage at the beginning. So I'll hang onto it and read it again in about ten years.

This is a great read. The characters keeps you wondering what is reality through out the entire book. By the end you will defiantly feel a good chill.
