The Chamber of Secrets was my least favorite installment in this series but all the rest were golden.

Bookwise, this is incredibly well-written, and structured like a classic. The framing, the viewpoints, the unreliability of the protagonist... so beautifully done. But my hatred for the narrator was so complete, I barely made it through to the center love-and-war story; after being so transported into the mangled lives of the two lovers, the end was too cruel such that I could not feel sorry for Briony, even as an old woman.

Fluffy cute story. I had read this in an anthology because I kept remembering parts of it as I read and it's only 82 pages. Just what you would expect from Jayne Castle's Harmony books.

I enjoyed what I read of this. I thought Dagny was a pretty sweet character. Unfortunately, I set this book down about half way through. It was just getting exciting, I knew something big was about to happen....it was just taking so long to get there! I would like to pick it up again someday.

"The Dead" is one of my favorite stories of all time.

Not a bad "Hey, you're going to be a big brother" book for kids. I changed the name of the older boy (as well as the gender and name of the baby) so my son's name and he liked it. It's nothing outstanding, but a good read to reassure kids that they will indeed remain special and their family loves them just as much even after their little brother or sister arrives.

This was my second MH read, following "Pig Island". A student travels to Tokyo in search of a film that was supposedly taken during the Japanese massacre at Nanking in 1937. The two threads of the story, of the student's struggle to adapt to Tokyo and the Nanking survivor recounting his journal, are woven together well and make a fascinating story into an entertaining one. After finishing the book, I wanted to find out more about the events portrayed in the book - always a good sign.

Strange book, but then again you'll probably guess that from the title. It's an entertaining read that you'll probably be able to easily get through in a single sitting

This book was a part of my high school cirriculum (peer mentoring in an all-girl's high school). Interesting examination on the psyche of teenage girls, especially reading it as one. I've since re-read it a couple times. For a non-fiction book (which I rarely read) it sucks you in.
