Finally a Chris Moore book that had a good ending. I liked this book very much and am excited to read Love Nun because Roberto the fruit bat is a pretty cool dude in Stupidest Angel, and im sure there is more about him in Love Nun.

The world of bathtub adventure awaits readers in The Sea of Bath. While journeying with "a sleepy old Captain" familiar bath toys float about the mysterious sea. This would be a wonderful bed-time story, as children everywhere can relate to the imaginary adventures that ensue during bath time. The muted palate of Logan's illustrations helps to give the book a nostalgic feel.

Oh, it's been way too long since I've picked up a book that I couldn't wait to finish. And of course, I'm sad it's over...but at least there are two more to go.

This is an excellent memoir written by a woman who lost her sister to domestic violence. I'm not giving anything away by saying that because it says that in the inside cover! It is mostly a story about the life of Janine (the author) and the abusive relationships she found herself in, and the unfortunate relationship her sister Amy eventually fell into. This is a very enlightening, bittersweet, sad and touching story of the love between sisters, and the eventual liberation of Janine. I highly recommend it. And I would have rated it 4 1/2 stars if possible.

Short and sweet, but kind of pointless. For $10.00, I should have gotten at least four of these novellas.....just saying.

Devil in the White City is a captivating book about the work and preparation of the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago. What made this book so enthralling was during the preparation of the fair and during the fair one of America’s earliest serial killers lurked and killed at will. A book that is both triumphant and disturbing at the same time. The vast amount of research and time that went into this book is astounding. Sidenote: One thing that I really appreciated about this book was all the odd little facts that the author throws into the book. The people, places, strange events, chance encounters, inventors and thier inventions really added to the story.
We join our perfect, immortal couple once more in the second book of The Immortals series, Blue Moon. Ever and her powers are growing stronger everyday now, with the help of her lover and teacher Damen. Everything seems to be going right finally for Ever, until the new kid comes to town: Roman. Roman is good looking, friendly, smart, and has the cutest accent ever; but something about him to Ever doesn't feel right. As time goes on at high school, things begin to take a turn for the worse. Ever starts to notice changes going on, like suddenly people are friends with everyone and Damen is different. Not the different that she fell in love with, but the different that makes him like all the other high school boys. He doesn't look at her the same way anymore, pretends he doesn't know who she is, and is hanging out with the malkin Stacia. Putting all the pieces together, Ever realises that all these happenings may be the cause of the new guy. Eventually, time begins to run out and even fate can be changed. Number of pages: 284
