I am Legend. This book was an incredible read. I am glad that I had a chance to read this book before the movie came out and I hope that Hollywood doesn't bastardize this great vampire story by changing too much of the book. This book has one of those endings that leaves you wanting more; in a way it's almost disappointing.

Jon Ronson can do no wrong with me; I love everything he has written. This one was just as engrossing as his others. I found his choice in whom to label a sociopath interesting, though. He harshly criticized some while letting other, obviously manipulative, people off the hook, which either shows how easily psychopaths can manipulate the people around them, or was planned so that the reader comes away thinking so. Either way, I loved it. Highly recommended!

I did watch the movie and I loved it. This is the first time I watch the movie before I read the book.....I am interested in seeing how it works out for me.

Denis de Beaulieu was not yet two-and-twenty, but he counted himself a grown man, and a very accomplished cavalier into the bargain This story opens out in September 1429 when, according to my trusty year book, Joan d'Arc has had her vision that the dauphin is legitimate heir to the crown regardless of the Treaty of Troyes, and the Duke of Bedford has sent to England for reinforcements... ..let the action begin bar·ti·zan/ˈbärtəzən/ Noun: An overhanging corner turret at the top of a castle or church tower.

A fun light read. Interesting tales of life in the the early touring circuses.

This book had the unfortunate distinction of being read in a burn-out phase for me. Otherwise, perhaps a 4 star rating. So i will settle for a 3.5 here. Homer is quite verbose as a 12 yr old orphan in search of his brother illegally mustered into service for the Union Army during the Civil War. I loved the weaving of fictional characters w/ historical fact and i would perscribe this book to any of my 8th graders for supplemental reading.
Easy read, looking forward to the sequel.

Not that this book will answer this essentially unanswerable question...However I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I thought it was a little slow.

A Boy Called It-I never got around to reading the other two books of his,but I decided I wanted to do that so I re-read the first one. Wow. I forgot how amazing this book was. I read it cover to cover today without putting it down once and I almost never do that. It was amazing and heart retching and terrifying to think that things like that really go on. An excellent book that EVERYONE should read and it's a really simple short read too. The Lost Boy-This was just as good as the first. It explains what he went through while in foster care and how his mother still had some emotional control over him even though he was finally out of her clutches physically. Loved it. Luckily it didn't make me cry like the first book though haha. A Man Named Dave-Tells mostly about his adult life and has a last meeting between Dave and his mother before she dies. I loved it. It was the perfect ending to the trilogy and it showed that even after all he had been through he made it.
