I am a huge fan of the Ethshar series. The secret to this series is that it's originally based on the author's RPG world, which grew in complexity until it was no longer feasible to actually run an RPG in it. Most of the books focus on some aspect of his world (in this case, the power known as "warlockry"); they describe how it meshes with the rest of the world, and the forces keeping it in balance. Characterization is not one of Lawrence Watt-Evans's strengths, but he more than makes up with it in grand, sweeping ideas.

Yeah, so I read this book a while ago, but it has stayed with me ever since. I love it. It's wonderful. It's so charming and never annoying (it's kinda about love sometimes) and totally enrapturing. But I'm not going to tell you any more, just find out for yourself.

This book was really depressing at certain points and kind of disturbing. It's about this guy named Will whose son just died and is having a lot of complications with his marriage. At his college reunion he runs into his ex-girlfriend who has a daughter that could possibly be his. You start to learn about all the scandals he was involved with in the past and it becomes obvious that he still has feelings for this woman. The only reason why I didn't enjoy this book fully was because it was a little too dramatic, and all the emotion in the book was really dense and straight forward. It was an ineresting book to read though and kept my attention the whole time throughout readng it.

This book has one important message: that the nutrients in whole foods are digested differently from a nutrient extract. Last night, I watched a mediocre documentary on the Bushmen of southern Africa. They have this plant named hoodia that is supposed to function as an appetite suppressant. Unilever swooped in on the deal and made a 'hoodia extract' in pill form. Trouble is, the conclusion I made is that this is an example of the American micronutrient love affair. The reason hoodia suppressed the Bushmen's appetite is that they EAT IT. THEY EAT IT WHOLE AND IT FILLS THEM UP BECAUSE IT IS FOOD. I am sure spinach would do the same thing for our nation's overweight. Pick this book up for its one valuable postulate. It is an easy, pleasurable read.

Review from www.bookflame.blogspot.com Divergent was breathtakingly amazing. It was downright perfection in my opinion. I don't even know what else to say, it was just that good. If your like me and have let it sit on your bookshelf month after month afraid to pick it up because you are afraid it wont live up to the hype...pick it up now and read it. I regret taking so long to read Divergent. Five stars doesn't even do it any justice. Okay let me stop gushing over it and get on with the review. Sixteen year old Beatrice Prior lives in a time where society is divided into five factions. Abnegation-the selfless, Candor-the honest, Dauntless-the brave,Erudite-the intelligent, and Amity-the peaceful. Then there is another group of people, one that if your are found out by others what you are will get you killed - Divergent. I finished Veronica Roth's debut novel in a matter of hours. If you want an intense and compelling read Divergent is it. There was betrayal, corruption, and not to mention romance that developed realistically between Four (Tobias) and Tris (Beatrice). The world building and plot was immaculately done. Then there were the plot twists that had me to the point where I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. And of course the fact that even all the secondary characters were all very well fleshed out which helped me fall in love with Divergent that much more. Overall this was a fascinating read and I looking forward to picking up Insurgent when it releases.

Book 9 (if I'm counting correctly!) in the series and the best yet. Gut-wrenching, if you've been reading them all in sequence and are involved in the characters. I definitely recommend reading this mystery series in sequence. Be careful. You'll get hooked!

Kesinlikle yazılmış en büyük kitap değil. Aslında oldukça korkunç !! Hiç hoşlanmadı. Daha iyi olması bekleniyor ve ben çok dissapointed. Her bölümde im olup bittiğini anlamak çok zordu ve bu kitabı kimseye tavsiye etmem.
