This is quite possibly the best book ever written. Ever.

I like Bryson's sense of humor. He mocks everyone he comes across but often I feel like he is addressing himself as well. He's cynical and a smart alec and very funny (if you're into that kind of humor). He puts little factoids among the book about science stuff or organizations. I don't know much about these things so I don't know how accurate his information is (sources aren't cited which was a complaint of another reader) but for what it was it was interesting and, if I felt so inclined, it points you in the direction of getting more information on a topic.

I chose this book for research and I must say that Ernesto Che Guevara is quite an interesting guy. I am currently writing an essay about him and this book has it all. It contains information about his childhood, quotes that he's said, and many other things about him. I seriously recommend this book to someone who is researching about the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro or Che Guevara himself. This book can also just be read leisurely because it doesn't hurt to read a book about a historic figure and the book is quite fascinating.

The concepts promoted in this little work are somewhat basic to those who are familiar with the basics of modern psychology. I'm sure that when this book was published, it offered ground-breaking info to the populous, who had never encountered such ideas. The most valuable element I found in this book was really not in the book at all, but was merely a part of a whole concept that has recently been standing out to me. The concept I'm speaking of is the power of words. God spoke the world into existence, quantum physics supports the notion that all creation is made of music (vibrations [Jewish tradition has it that God sang the universe into existence]), and that we, being made in God's image, have a divine spark of determination, control, and creativity. The potency of words has been making it's self known to me over the past few months after having read "How To Write A Sentence", by Stanley Fish. In it, he says that sentences are little worlds, and by arranging symbols of meaning, we can create our own micro universe. Wow! How cool is that! Anyway, I think it is worth taking the time to read this little self-help guide, even if it's just to be able to say that you have. It is an encouraging read, one that is almost to sweet to the ego's taste to read very much at a time. Just as a note: As I read it, I constantly had a mental image of a goofy looking dude from the '80s wearing a polyester suit, long sweeping hair that covers the better half of his forehead, and sporting the stereotypic creep's mustache. This image came to me after seeing it's publication date. That almost ruined it for me.

Not one of her best.

Good book, as were the others by this author. Gladwell is thought-provoking and for me he can put a name to experiences I have had or observed but could not describe.

Well written, but a bit slow in parts. I'll still read the next one.

It was predictable at every corner. If you're in the mood for an easy read, it's a good choice and fairly entertaining.
