Best book like ever! It shows that people are brave enough to show how they feel. But in the end, it is really sad. I want to keep reading the series. I think they will be really interesting. Go Haddix!

** spoiler alert ** Good entertainment -- and an interesting introduction to the notion of "smart matter" from the inside out. If everything around you was smart (but was flawed in that it wouldn't recognize you as intelligent!) what would it be like? Three viewpoints (native, outsider, invader) interlock. I read it because it was free at manybooks.net, but I'll keep an eye out for Schroeder's other works now.

The story moved forward in numerous ways, but many of the main characters we had been following in the previous books weren't present. I can understand the readers' chagrin at the 4th book now. Still, it did follow along with many of the favorites and new characters were focused on. But, you just have to read it to progress the larger plot. So, it was a good read in that way. You get a sense of where all of this is going now and I can almost foretell the final 3 books. But I have fatigue with this series now and I'll wait to read the next book in a little while. There are too many other books I want to read right now, as well. So, til we meet again, Mr. Martin.

Does anyone honestly like "Romeo and Juliet?" Boiled down, the plot is: a horny young man falls madly in lust with a silly young girl who doesn't know her mind. They die. The end. Sheesh. Unless Shakespeare was trying to be funny, I see no point in this play. I would be open to any comments about its value.
