This is the first short story of the 25 short story collection of Grey. I could not find the specific title of it (25 collection) so I put a similar title in my 'currently reading' shelf which will stay there until I finish all of the shorts I decide to read. I plan to scan each story and decide which to read in order. While this is not "great literature" I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been wanting to read Grey for years. I thought perhaps this might be where the Lone Ranger and Tonto story came from. But it has nothing to do with that story.

Very simple artwork, but very moving nontheless. Reminded me a lot of Maus in that way, and I'd highly recommend this to anyone interested in graphic novels, Iran, or feminisim in the Islamic world.

This book was in the New Fiction section at the library and the title alone caught my attention. I picked up, stared at the cover and showed it to my friend. I added to my pile of books, and checked it out without even reading the back. This book is not for the 'easily offended or faint of heart.' It follows the despicable 27-year old protagonist who is a cocaine addicted, racist, sexist, and murderer. The whole book is a non stop orgy of sex, drugs, and violence. Despite his mounting pile of debts and lack of successful acts, he'd rather kill colleagues getting ahead of him and anyone who threaten to make him look bad, than do any actual work. The book is pretty quick to read, because the story just speeds by and before you know it you feel like you have become an accessory to all the crimes committed. Although the book is a bit disturbing, it is also humorous in a sick sort of way, and interesting enough. Most characters are hard to like, so you are sort of stuck wondering if everyone just got what they deserved. There is a lot of British slang, and I would've probably enjoyed the book a bit more if I understood it.

Quick read, but less action than usual for Scot Harvath. Some of the story line involving Thomas Jefferson and the Barbary pirates was interesting (vis-a-vis a missing last book of the Koran.) The epilogue was not believable.

A very odd book that felt to me like i was walking in and out of someone's dream. It has an air of unreality to it, the desperation of not really knowing where one is going in a dream and how events link in surreal and odd ways. its engaging never the less and maybe i would benefit from a second reading, i just am not sure i am interested enough to try again.

The most freaking amazing book I ever read in my life about Shiaism. I didn't even comprehend 10% of it. I lost my copy and am now willing to do anything to get it back or to get a new one. Hard to find but I will get it even if I have to goto ansariyan.org (in iran!!)
