In the course of teaching high school sophomores for thirty years, I have read Julius Caesar more than thirty times, and I never grow tired of its richness of detail or the complexity of its characters. Almost every year, I end up asking myself the same simple question--"Whom do I like better? Cassius or Brutus?"--and almost every year my answer is different from what it was the year before. On one hand, we have Cassius, the selfish, manipulative conspirator who, after the assassination, shows himself to be an impulsive, loyal friend and an able politician, and, on the other hand, Brutus, the conscientious intellectual and lover of the republic who becomes, under the weight of his guilt, an irritatingly scrupulous moralist and an inept general more concerned with reputation than success. And then of course there is Antony: brilliant, vicious, unscrupulous, and ultimately as unknowable as a tornado. This is a great play about politics and human character.

This was by far my favorite book to read. There were many positive qualities about this book that made me enjoy this book. My favorite thing about this book was the imagery. Every page seemed to be filled with similes, metaphors, and descriptive words. It was fascinating to read this book with the imagery, but it was also the characters I enjoyed reading about. While several of the other books had very lackluster characters, in this story I learned all about the lives of every single character in this book. Normally, this would be annoying to read, but the way the author split up the chapters in the book to switch every few paragraphs to a different person made the reading much more interesting. At first, this method of writing was confusing and hard to follow, but after about 100 pages of this book, I had trouble putting it down. All in all it was a very interesting book to read, and without a doubt was my favorite summer reading book.

A great (fictional) history of the famous feud! It's sad what selfishness and bad choices can do to families and communities!

Excellent weaving of characters throughout the novel,Although the age of Eleonora seemed a stretch. Book kept the results very good till the very end. The end kinda makes one wish for a second book. Enjoyable book

Sixteen-year-old Ariana Benson loves her new job as the schoolteacher in her small frontier town. But her whole life changes one snowy day when she is kidnapped by two outlaws and taken back to their hidden camp, where she is held as a prisoner. Her guard is Laramie, the son of the outlaws' leader. But Laramie is not like the other outlaws. He finds himself struggling with his duties as Ariana's guard, and knows in his heart it is not right to hold an innocent young woman prisoner. And Ariana finds herself strangely trusting him. Laramie comes up with a daring plan to help her escape, even though it means separating himself from his father forever. But will the plan work? This was a decent historical western adventure, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the other book I read by this author. This was mainly due to the ending of the book. Toward the end of the book, the author threw in a plot device that seemed to be there in order to place one more obstacle in the path of the characters so that the book would be a bit longer. I still enjoyed this book overall, I just wish the ending had been less contrived. I would recommend this book to fans of the author, but new readers looking to try a Janette Oke book would be better off reading a different one instead.

Thriller. Ramsey retreats to mountain cabin, rescues unconscious child from forest, is mistaken for child's kidnapper....
This made me fall in love with Dickens. Pip is one of my favorite heroes out there and was the original lost orphan out to find his meaning in life. Very Harry Potter for the Victorian England generation.

This book was unique and provided an interesting new take on stories told from Holocaust Germany. I found myself deeply affected by the characters. Having the story narrated by 'Death' was a great twist.

I read it once before, and am rereading it to kids that I watch. It's very nonesensical, but in a very good way.

Her nasılsa yazarın gerçek evle bağlantısını hissedemedim.
