He forwards it to a friend to ask him what to do about it. His friend forwards it to everyone, and it goes viral. Mostly, the book explores how the scandal affects his father (successful businessman), his mother, and the boy himself. About three quarter through the book I just grew tired of all of the introspection and soul searching. I grew weary of the whole thing before I finished the book. It just didn't keep me wanting to read more.
