Romain Lopez romainlopez — This is one of my favorite books ever! I was thoroughly engrossed in reading! The story, characters, and the location was superb. I had to pause and catch my breath (literally) because it was so gripping, full of actions, and twists! It's a perfect combination of a mystery, and adventure plus a whole lot more. I have to say that this book may be one of the smartest books I've read because everything has been well- researched. While I was reading this book I often found myself googling up some stuff in the internet just to see all the details that were mentioned. Definitely a thumbs up for this one! I'd recommend this for those who crave for adventure novels. If you haven't read this one, then I suggest you grab a copy now!

Bobby Biskupiak bbiskupiak — The realism of the characters in this story is due to the restraint and subtlety of McCullers' sketches. Some reviewers have been amazed at the mature picture she painted of this 1930's Southern town when she was only 22 years old. I think her youth kept her honest. For the reader to see from a character's perspective, the reader cannot know more about the character than the character herself. Thus, the author had to be honest about the limits of individual perspective. The essence of the self is the asymmetry of relationships. This leads to identity, but also to loneliness and insecurity. McCullers captures this reality and compresses it into her small cast of players. There is nothing whimsical for a reader who is embodying these characters, but the experience is exhilarating and recalibrating. It makes us grateful for the love we have.

Davide Pozzi tagliaerbe — Excellent systematic examination of the Christian life. It benefits from a conversational writing style and a good dose of humility on Frame's part. I can't remember any serious disagreements I had with the old codger. Yet another Theology book that improves the heart as well as the mind.

Alexis Matthew alektit — so brilliant!!

Gavin Reifert funnimonkey — The book started off a bit on the slow side, but by the second chapter it was flowing freely. It was a good beginner's book on the Vikings and offered great information and perspective.

Imam Al maldie — Funny memoir about high school life in a small town. The author graduated from Richmond Indiana high school the same year I did. Brought back great memories of my own high school days!

Arif Hidayat arifhidayat — This was a Free Friday from Nook. I read it in between other books. There were some interesting tidbits; I enjoyed it. But the typos were really bad and I could have done without the cheesy plays on words the author insisted on putting in there (in the name of humor I'm assuming, but they weren't funny).
