carlesgod
Carles God carlesgod — This was definitly better than Little Altars, but it comes in a close second to the oritinal one. This was a cute story.

Martín De _artindela95 — This is a simple and satisfying story about a charming character named Precious Ramotswe. I picked it up at the library and really enjoyed it.

_ugar_ee
Fenfen Lee _ugar_ee — After completing this book, I've read all of Murakami's novels. This one was strikingly normal--much more in the vein of "Norwegian Wood" than the other novels that I've read, though even more normal than that work. I mean "normal" in a good way--Murakami is a master of a certain style of nagging mystery, a feeling that the borders between the real and the imagined have become quite blurred. He could write a story about a trip to the grocery store and somehow make you wonder if it really happened--in this novel, he turns what is essentially a love story into something that almost seems like it was imagined, that it might have been all in the narrator's head. Through the main character Hajime's relationships with Shimamoto, Izumi, and Yukiko, we learn about love and loss and how the steady march of time cannot be contradicted. Hajime's experiences with these three women reveal different things about himself and about the nature of real love. Recommended to fans of Murakami's work (of course) and to those looking with a love story laced with a bit of the mysterious.

Creative Auxo auxo_creative — ** spoiler alert ** I'm not going to lie, when I heard about this leak I instantly went searching for it. Edward's POV helps give more insight into the story. You get to view life at the Cullen's before Bella was involved and they become more developed in my opinion. I enjoyed the little things, like Jasper and Emmett playing games while Alice helps Jasper cheat.

_itzsimmons
Brandy Fitzsimmons _itzsimmons — This is a finely crafted piece of VERY dark fantasy. I couldn't put it down - which is saying something, because frankly I am a jaded readder when it comes to high fantasy and these days it tends to bore me. Usually high fantasy is too predictable. This one twists about in all sorts of unexpected ways. Apparently it's part one of a trilogy and I cannot begin to imagine where Lawrence is going, but have every intention of being along for the ride. It's not a child friendly book, it runs along the edges of horror, and it isn't about some big fight between some ultimate (yawn) evil and some obvious hero type. Nor is it your standard faux-mediaeval. I don't want to say what it is, because that would spoil it a bit. If you want to be surprised, aren't afraid to be shocked and want to read a book that isn't just like something else, read this. It rocks. I think it's one of the best fantasy books I have ever read.

albertoolaya
Alberto Olaya albertoolaya — Loved it. Well-deserving of the Newbery. It was amusing, mysterious, and touching all at the same time. I loved the way it was written: a young girl moving back to the town where her father (something of a hobo) had lived as a young man. The story switches back and forth between her story and her father's as she's discovering more about him. All in all, fabulous book. It's one I'm going to buy!
