Marty Minila martyminila — I didnt't want to write a review until I had read the entire series, so now that I am done here it goes. It was an interesting young adult series on the whole. It is fantasy/sci-fi, and it had warlocks, demons, vampires, werewolves, and shadowhunters-those chosen by an angel to keep humans safe from demons. It has some fun original ideas mingled with some familiar relationships between vampires and werewolves. It had a compelling story line with a human finding out she can see shadowhunters which are supposed to be invisible to humans, and then she learns that she is a shadowhunter, something her mom has kept from her entire life to protect her from a shadowhunter who has gone bad and is trying to use demons to overthrow the shadowhunter order of things, and also happens to be her evil father, oooh! Over all a fun read, however there were some really lame subplots that bugged big time. I would recommend this series to young adult fiction readers who enjoy a good story, but have to read some ideas they may not agree with to get the entire story. Once again, a fun read, but there is definitely better stuff out there
