Kareem Waheed _areem_aheed — Wow. I can't believe how much I didn't like this book!! I've loved this entire series up until now, and didn't even mind spending $12.99 for the ebook... but I'm so disappointed. Honestly, it was all I could do to even finish this book. I forced myself to read it all the way through because I was convinced I'd miss something important if I didn't. I'm now convinced that I could've quit and I wouldn't have missed anything of interest. This book just didn't "fit" for me. A new setting, a whole new cast of characters... and I didn't find any of it very interesting. I would've much rather been back in the Tri-Cities tagging along on more Pack adventures with the characters that I already know and love. The whole Native American walker/shifter folklore "thing" was absolutely lost on me. I found it all very confusing and hard to follow. And, I was expecting to learn more about Mercy's background/heritage, but didn't really feel that that happened either. I'm still not sure I understand who/what her father was/is... and I couldn't tell you WHO those other people/creatures were. I really hope that the next installment of this series goes back to what worked in the first five books!!
