James Paternina nwn — Tractatus gave me a dull, achy throbbing behind my eyes. I have to admit most of it is beyond me. I made attempts to research the sudden downpour of terms, but even wikipedia was no help. I flashed back to my struggles with Baudrillard and his nonsense. He does appear to be pretty pompous when he makes adjustments to Russell's and Frege's work. Thankfully, by the fourth of seven points, I began to grasp a little of his thinking, though I may never understand what's going on with those formulas. Though many agree that the overall concept is blurry and flawed (even the author recanted much of it later), I steadily got the impression that it was genius nonetheless. Even if it's virtually incomprehensible to a readership not versed in his terminology, plugging away through it can't hurt. There are moments of lucidity that even apply to everyday reasoning. I feel like I should come back to it someday.

Katie Sudhalter _atiesudhalter — 2006 Pulitzer Prize winning novel written from the perspective of the father of Alcott's Little Women. A little uneven but generally one of the more insightful historical novels I've read. Some of the imagery about life among freed slaves during the civil war is worth the price of admission.

Zoran Jovanovic rubberpropeller — When Pope John Paul died on the Saturday before Divine Mercy Sunday, I was sadden that he didn't have Mass for one of his favorite feasts, so I was very happy to learn that Cardinal Dziwisz started saying the Vigil for him before he died. :) I also like hearing about how he would sneak out to go skiing or he would jump from moving cars to escape spies. Pope on a mission, indeed.
