Mohamed Fawzy mohamedfaw7954 — Very funny spoof on the Harry Potter series.

jochasv
Sebastian Vargas jochasv — It was really a pretty well written book consistent with the images that I have of President Bush's presidency. I skimmed parts of it due to my familiarity with the issues and subjects. It was a good reminder of the rationale for his decision making. I believe that he was right in many things and needlessly derided by critics. At the same time, some of his calls were off the mark probably. As he says, time will tell.
-
kov1
Alex Kov kov1 — Glad I finally continued on with this story. By the end I was truly liking all the characters and am looking forward to reading the next in the series.

_ljoni
Yahya Aljoni _ljoni — The ambiance, attitude, and unforgettable characters make this a classic. A must read.

quitobonino
Esteban Bonino quitobonino — pretty good book. an eye opener and full of warnings of what the future may bring. i liked it, but would prefer something with a little hope. i guess that was the point, but yea i can see why people like this book.

gslow88
G-slow G-slow gslow88 — I liked it.

mastterpeace
Angie Lopez mastterpeace — A fascinating, interwoven story of the life of a book, the Sarajevo Haggadah, told backwards, following the clues a conservationist discovers in the present day. I personally enjoyed the historic stories more than the the contemporary story, although it was fun to journey with her as she discovers the meaning behind the clues left in the book. So much tragedy, but also so much hope and cooperation among diverse people surrounded this book on its journey!

eduardarq
Maria Eduarda eduardarq — funny.

stecoviello
Stefano Coviello stecoviello — This book was ok; recommended to my by my cousin who thought this book was a great example of a YA novel written from the male point of view (which I agree). It was a quick read and I am intrigued by the story. The author uses a style of slowing letting you understand the world of Cassel, piece by piece. That means it can be confusing at times and I'm still not sure how everything in the worker world works. Being a crazy cat lady, I obviously appreciate the inclusion of kitties. Much better than Black's first book Tithe, which I couldn't read beyond the first few chapters.

firoz_009
Shohidul Islam firoz_009 — Another addition to the Fablehaven series. I put this one down a few times because I got nervous and was apprehensive to continue. But continue on I did and I wasn't disappointed. These books are really fun to read.
-
marimbarojas
Marimba Rojas marimbarojas — This book so far has done a great job articulating the absurdities fundamentalist beliefs can cause and how it is ripping our societies apart and undermining rational thought.
-
nikandcarole
;D Me gustó mucho, me quede a cuadros!! :D

_sagus
Isagus Extroversions _sagus — I tried this book twice and couldn't get into it. Moving on ...

_outt_8
Chuck Harrison _outt_8 — I am so excited to be reading this book again, this time, aloud to my children (ages 2-6). Although THEIR attention spans are less than 10 minutes, they are so far excited by the dwarves songs, the copious description of food (and keep asking me to make them ale [they only know the ginger-ale variety] and seed-cake when we sit down to read), and the story of the trolls. In their childlike ways, they cheer whenever Gandalf comes into a scene and ask me to "skip the talking" when Thorin begins pontificating. It's wonderful to share this with them, and I can't wait to get through the whole thing. As for myself, I love the story of adventure, the complaining, bumbling character of Bilbo, and all the fun characterization of hobbits and dwarves that is minimized in the LOTR trilogy. In fact, I honestly think that you are NUTS not to read "The Hobbit" before attempting "The Fellowship of the Ring," not only because it informs the other, but because it quickly gets you into the world of Middle-Earth, caring for the hobbits and all the rest, where as "Fellowship" can sometimes drag through the beginning (and, in my opinion, doesn't really pick up until the last third of the book). "The Hobbit" is fun to read aloud to children, because it is rather light and quick-paced, while still being Very Good Literature. This has been one of my all-time-favorites since I discovered it when I was 10, and my love of all things Tolkien was kindled when I first picked up this book!

_iefen
Yuyu Yi _iefen — My second novel focusing on carnies. Much less disturbing than "Geek Love" with a lot more historical facts tied in. Easy read.
