Sungjin Kim redbear56 — Just finished this book for the second time and still at a loss for words. This book is a chilling in the fact that you have a person that was just fulfilling his hearts desire, but due to that desire, he put himself in harms way and died because of it. It leaves me to wonder what the purpose was? I can only hope that he fulfilled that purpose here by taking action, taking the trips and challenges he did; because it would be so much more tragic if it was all for nothing. I think everyone on earth struggles to actually do what they truly desire to do or have a passionate drive to want to do. Why then, does one person follow that passion and reap the rewards while others, like McCandless have the extreme opposite; that results in the loss of his life? Once again, I am left to truly think on this book. Read it for yourself and see!
