Will Colclasure williamcolacb4 — I'm a huge Star Wars fan but even I thought this book was only so-so. There were a lot of aspects of the Yuuzhan Vong that I though could have used some more explanation. Particularly, the ooglith cloakers. I had trouble envisioning what these things looked like once put on. The Vong must appear more human with them on since Yomin Carr used one to fool the scientists on Belkadan. Also, what do the Vong sound like? I imagine they sound pretty ferocious when not trying to masquerade as humans (somewhat Klingon, perhaps) but do they sound different while wearing cloakers? I felt that while Salvatore did a great job with action sequences in the book. He could have spent more time fleshing out this COMPLETELY new aspect he introduced to the Star Wars universe, the Yuuzhan Vong. Perhaps this was by design to give the reader the same sense of confusion that the characters in the book must have felt as they engaged the Vong. Hopefully, more will be explained in the subsequent New Jedi Order novels.
