Dairien Boyd dairien — Engaging plot, but writing style needs strengthening

Fabien Rillet feb_rillet27f3 — This is a fun story about time. It's a children's story, but I stayed interested throughout the book. It explores the relativity of time through quite an immaginative and elaborate story which resonates and critiques current society as well as entertains and for these reasons I quite enjoyed it. I think there's a lot more significance in the names and places she uses (especially in London), and that makes it interesting as well, especially since I am here now:)

Juhi Khatri juhi_k — As the title says, there would be so many ways to describe this story. A young English boy is infatuated with museums and collecting and dreaming of owning his own museum some day. He collects and learns and does begin work in a museum after his school graduation. He meets a girl from Scotland who has an abusive mother and they marry, having a daughter. He finds out a very disturbing fact about his past that causes him to begin a quest to find the truth. The author writes with such an understanding of the depth of emotion we feel as parents, as we watch our children grow and change. As with all stories, people live their lives, grow older, discover and deal with events that either change them for the better or for the worse. In this story, David comes full circle, having partially fulfilled his goal, but dealing with defeat, some due to his own choices, and comes to terms with his life and what he possesses.

Adam Shefsky a_hefsky — This book would have gotten 5 stars if I were only rating on the content of the ideas. Hitchens is right on in his criticisms of religion and "god." However, I found the book to get a bit repetitive and also his tone was a little annoying at times so I have to give it 4 stars. That said, I really, really enjoy him and I'm so glad that he is out there having the arguments that need to be had with religion. It's clearly a dark and destructive force that needs to be exposed for what it is - bravo to Hitchens for standing up for reason and what's right.
