Randolph Tan randolphtan — This is a terrifying portrayal of a woman suffering from early Alzheimer's disease. I had no idea the depths in which this disease strips away from one's mind. It's more than just simply forgetting words or how to read/write, but hallucinations and disorientation. Memories are simply wiped out. The ability to type out a sentence or comprehend a movie plot are far too difficult. It's quite a frightening and debilitating disease. This is a well written book, although I would have preferred to hear from Alice in a first person narrative. I felt slightly detached from her at times. I also wish her life hadn't been so perfect with her being an incredibly smart professor. As if this disease wouldn't have been as harrowing on an average less successful person with limited means. Still, it's a good read I would recommend to all.

Matthew Kinbaum _atthew_inbaum — I can't believe this book is getting better ratings than the first one. This one was just too all over the place for me. It was ok, I mean it kept me reading to see if it got better, but it was a real let down after the first one. If the third one isn't any better I will be severely disappointed. The first had a few unanswered questions but that added to the mystery, this one is just too out there for me, and the ending, not very believable. Tragic but ehhh...... And some of the character motivations, not very convincing for me either. Yeh, what's really all that convincing about a book with a werewolf as a main character, but...... I expected more!
