Nothing ever really seems to happen, I mean stuff takes place, but nothing exciting, zero climax, and the things that could have been a climax seemed unimportant. Not to mention the constant regression of these people, its friggin' infuriating, I guess I'm similar to Ish in that way but I at least would have done something about it. I found myself Googling a few references and phrases in the book. Specifically "You never even noticed the blue in the half-moons" hmmm? The reference to "Cupid's disease" was easier to decipher but still very unfamiliar? I'm only 24 so I guess I wouldn't be expected to recognize 1949 lingo, while this "talk" was frustrating at times I subtracted no stars based upon it, my rating is based strictly upon how much I enjoyed this book. I did learn one good thing from this book, what not to do in an apocalypse!
