I read the early version of this book prior to it's being published. The unpublished manuscript was a standard in the family sciences classes that I took in college. There are a couple of other books based on his writings for business leaders. I think they were published by his company, Arbinger.

Loved it, loved it, loved it. This small, tightly constructed book is beautifully written from the viewpoints of several women. Their relationships with each other and other people in their lives is rivetting. I highly recommend this book.

The dynamic between Grace and Sam continues to be the best thing about this trilogy. Their love is still achingly beautiful and is one of the few redeeming qualities of this book. Cole and Isabel became more likable and slightly less annoying. But at the end of this book there were too many unanswered questions...(view spoiler) I felt like the "scientific" explanation of being a werewolf was interesting in the first two books, but in this one, it seemed completely implausible and poorly expounded on. (view spoiler) I will continue to love Shiver fiercely but I don't think I'll be reading this or Linger again.

Not as good as other books in the Troubleshooters series. I seldom give a fast-fun-fiction read more than a 3, so this speaks well for this. Brockmann is one of the best romance/mystery writers. Her books include topics that have to be well researched to be believable. What drags this down (and drags almost all romance writing down -- as far as I'm concerned) is the plethora of bedroom love scenes. NOT necessary, especially when there's a healthy mystery component. How many times and ways can you describe sex, and believe me, these romance writers don't want the readers to miss one moment from start to finish which annoys me. But the whole series is a "saga" (like watching Boston Legal), so I'll continue on reading as long as the series continues. I'm hooked on the characters.
