Tim Kern, Aero-News Network The 30,000 hour Captain and aircraft mechanic (A&P) spends more time examining and explaining what he sees as the things that have gone away in US commercial air travel since deregulation and up to Sept. 11, 2002 and its aftermath. It is not hard to understand what Captain Brian likes about air transport: strong unions, pilots, mechanics, and ATC. Nor is it hard to tell what he dislikes: the FAA, deregulation, airline management, part 135 operations and ultralightning. You might not agree with him, but you'll have no trouble understanding why he thinks the way he does, as he recounts what he sees as the shortcomings in the various systems, illustrated by actual incidents that back up his points. He gives yet another slant to John F Kennedy Jr's crash in 1999 and says: "Whatever the case, we do know that John F. Kennedy Jr. died following the rules laid out by the FAA which were, and are, at fault."

Love this more than Book 1! There's more action, suspense and everything about it is more than what I expected it to be. I love, love, love it! I thought I wouldn't like the romance between Blair and Larkin but this book made me fall in love with them. Terrific!!!

I will do almost anything Rick Steves tells me to. However, this guidebook was not really that exciting. His maps are pretty crappy and he only recommends things he likes- he doesn't let you know what else there is to see. Plus, he wrote four pages about Oslo's national gallery, which I thought was really boring. Whatever!
