It's never too early to start saving and investing for the future. Easy read but a little repetitive.

Some of the best science writing I've ever read. If everyone read this book, everyone would understand evolution. Or, more specifically, everyone would "get" it, in a new, intuitive way that classwork can't provide.

This is book three in the series as noted in the title. The first story was inspired by a choose your own m/m story at Kris’n'GoodBooks website which the author then expanded into the series. You really need to read the first two books to appreciate this final installment. Things are going well for Ian and David following Ian’s injuries at the end of the last book as he tried to defend a young rent-boy from his pimp, a young boy David’s father had sent to David to get his life turned around. However David’s father, their boss at the TV studio, steps in to interfere in their life, replacing Ian’s assistant with the Robbie, the young man, leaving David insecure and seething with jealousy. There is much angsting and gnashing of teeth on David’s part, sure that Robbie is going to make a move on Ian and that Ian will cheat. When Robbie admits he knows about the tattoo on Ian’s behind, David acts out causing him to fall from a ladder, breaking his leg so badly he nearly loses it, however it finally gets the truth about his father, Robbie and what has been going on below the surface, out into the open. As much as I adore David and Ian, I find the total lack of communication drives me around the bend. David didn’t even admit that his father WAS his father until forced in book two, and things aren’t much better in this one. And Ian is so afraid to upset David, that he just doesn’t ask for fear of scaring David off. If they just talked about it, most of their problems, save for a domineering interfering father would have fallen by the wayside. So I was glad to see a conclusion to what started as a totally over the top romp starring a dildo with green sparkly shamrocks settle down into a HEA for the guys. Hopefully they’ve learned their lesson about keeping secrets and the damage that causes. *All three books have been put together in one volume, so for those who have not purchased any of the previous two stories I would recommend you get them all at once.

Ryan Bassett Worship Matt Stafford NT Wright Book Report NT Wright Book Report The Book “The Meal Jesus Gave Us” was a very short read and full of great information. I think I will reread the book so I can get a better idea of it. There were a few concepts that jumped out at me. “Christians believe that in Jesus God's future came rushing into the present to meet us. It isn't just that we were chugging along a railway line, steadily moving towards a distant destination. At one particular moment we discovered another train coming to meet us from that destination. At the heart of the New Testament is the claim that God unveiled his secret plan for the world in the person of Jesus himself, and supremely in his death and resurrection.” Jesus brought a glimpse of the kingdom of God—what is to come—to present day when he died and resurrected and gave us the Holy Spirit. The Kingdom of God is a place where all things are glorious and perfect and new and Jesus is an embodiment of that. Jesus' death and resurrection were God's future arriving in the present, becoming the crucial past even for all moments and events thereafter. As one New Testament book puts it very daringly, because the cross reveals the true loving heart of God, we can speak of Jesus as 'the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world' (Revelation 13:8). The truth of Calvary is, in that sense, present to all times and all places, even though it had to happen once, uniquely and climatically. There was only one Jesus sacrifice, that happened once, but the effect of that sacrifice is eternal. And the sacrifice was planned from the beginning of time. “In his resurrection, in particular, we already have a foretaste of the new world, in which not only human bodies but the whole cosmic order will be transformed to share in the freedom which goes with the glory that God will shower upon his people (Romans 8:18-30)” Jesus is going to be personally present in the new earth. To me this is a great thing, to know that Christ is present at the place where I am going to be at. I wonder if we will be able to talk to him like he has all the free time, there will be a lot of people there (but also its for eternity.) I have so many questions about the New Earth. Will there be relationships, sex, fun, work, play? Or will it be an always praising God thing? We are supposed to enjoy praising God more than anything in the world, but isn't the stuff on earth made in God's image, something that God thinks is very good, I'd hope it would be on the new earth. “Did you know that when God makes his new world the food will be Jesus himself. That's the meaning of the great discourse in John 6.” I did not know this. I had no idea that Jesus would be literal food for us in heaven. I had thought that John 6 was about Pentecost after the coming of the Holy Spirit. The bread and the blood of Jesus means you are remembering Christ's death and that is all. I did not know that “the Word was in me” meant that we are going to feed on him literally in heaven. “And of course there's something else. Part of the story is that this God is taking the world somewhere. He's got plans. Apparently he's promised to do for all of us what he did for Jesus after he died. And for the whole world too. Yes, that really blows me away. This God really does love the whole world, and wants to make it all alive in a new way, like he did with Jesus on the first day of the week, all of forty or more years ago.” I know we are part of the new heaven and new earth, but it passed my knowledge that we will be at the same position that his Son was when he was resurrected. The fact that we will be like his Son is amazing to me. I cannot fathom that, that he loves us so much. Life is a lot different knowing that the day you will die you will be made like Jesus. It makes you number your days and do something with them.

The second novel in Jacquelyn Frank's Nightwalker series is a good companion to Jacob. This second book is still feeding you a lot of background information as well as expanding on the characters you met in the first book. I enjoyed the fact that even as you are meeting and seeing new characters, you still get the glimpses in the previous characters lives. It made for a good read. They play between Gideon and Legna is very fraught with their own sense of self and trying to keep that sense of self with the onslaught of the inevitable. It was a solid addition to the series.

Mostly I like this one more than some of her others because of the Patsy Cline reference...

This is one of the sweetest and unique stories I've ever read! Lots of Bible quotes included in the story.
