I'm not sure if this is the translation that I read or not but I love love love this book. One of my all time favorites if not the one. I read the unabridged version which was great but it definitely was long. Lots of talks about the country side la di da di da. So I think you could get along with the abridged version but whatever you do you can't go wrong with this amazing book!

If I'm not mistaken this is one of the first feminist books I ever read and a fitting one since it collects the writing of angsty teen girls who were just like me. I remember feeling like I had found a wicked book, the kind of thing my mom would scold me for reading if she knew what was in it. If I can make a zine half as awesome as some of the stuff in this book I would be very, very pleased.

A teenage boy hacks into his mother's e-mail and learns of her affair. I woulded have rated this a 2.5 (if Goodreads allowed decimal point ratings!). The author has a wonderful style of writing, and I will read some of her other books. However, the subject matter made me, as a reader, feel as if I was the one ease-dropping on someone elses life (which, perhabs as the author's intent).

Oh my, oh my, oh my. What a retelling of a tale. I loved it! I couldn't put it down, even though it was a bit wordy and long, after I got used to that, I fell in love with this author and this story and of course Sorcha and Red. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book.
