Farley is nearly a kid (twenty years old) all blushing and clumsy, but he really loves the bull riders circuit and love even more the bull riders. When he has the change to meet Cody Morrell, one of the best bullriders of the year he is like in heaven, but he hits the maximum when he mets also Chris, Cody's brother. And then Chris takes him out for dinner and out for... sex. His first real sex experience and with a hot bull rider. Can go better? Yes, when a week after also Cody takes him out for dinner and out for... sex. But the morning after Chris knocks on the door and Farley has to make a decision: he can have both of them or no one. Sure he will choose well, but soon he discovers that Cody and Chris are far beyond that only brothers. Cody is open and friendly, a talker. He is nice and all people likes him. Chris is brooding and strong, a fighter. Sometime a skittish horse, only Cody could tame him. At the beginning between Cody, Chris and Farley is only sex, a lot and good sex, but only between Chris and Cody is real love. Farley must learn to accept the two brothers like they are and to find a place between them. A very interesting book that deal with a delicate problem without being to light or to dark. http://elisa-rolle.livejournal.com/58...

I haven't been this entertained by a book in a long time. It's hysterical! Betsy is a howl. Nothing like a materialistic, designer shoe-loving, out-spoken vampire queen with ADD.

Slightly more grittier versions of Tolkien. Otherwise, wholly similar.

Another in the series... Salander is quite something, a most unusual protagonist. I won't soon forget this character.

A sweet story of love on many levels. A well written book that does a great job of developing the character of Major Pettigrew. You grow to really understand him and love him as you read this story.

I read this for school- but it is a quick read with lots of insights (and of course places to skip over...).

Out of Control, Suzanne Brockmann - I pretty much enjoyed the central romance in this story though not quite as much as the unconventional and acerbic secondary one between "Jones," the ex-soldier/mercenary on the run, and Molly, the missionary. The central romance though is between Savannah and Karmody and it was genuinely sweet and romantic in places. However, and here's where I feel tepid endorsement for Brockmann's books in general, I'm not drawn to the military genre and so I feel less enthusiasm for the gung-ho appeal of SEAL team characters and their exploits around the globe. Within the context of this book, I also find myself cringing often when reading dialogue, such as the two leading characters calling each other by nicknames within 24 hours of meeting or Karmody telling Savannah, "Love ya, babe" after their first date. I also felt a little beat over the head at times when we are informed repeatedly that Savannah is a trouper and never complains, which is why Karmody changes his mind about her and realizes she's more than a spoiled rich girl. I know this is a book that wants to excite readers by displaying the acumen of trailed military superheroes, and that we're supposed to appreciate how lucky Savannah is that her new boyfriend is incredibly able to take care of her and keep her safe from terrorists. The messages are loud and clear, but I just find myself skeptical and resistant to them. I've read a handful of Brockmann novels to date based on positive reviews, but overall they're not really for me.

Though this is an older book, it truly is a classic. This was more worthy of the Pulitzer than her book that won the award! It is no wonder this is required reading of high school students. The life it depicts is real and the language is so descriptive and poetic. Why did I not read this before? My education was sorely lacking in the classics.

Makes me wish I remembered more of what happened in White Apples, but enough is recapped that I can get by. While this is technically a sequel, I think one could probably read this without having read the other and still have it make sense. Well, as much sense as Jonathan Carroll ever does.
