Nowhere near as funny as his other one (Superstud). So much so that I didn't even finish reading it.

It was amusing/engaging but I found it to be a little too full of itself. I know that most people think this book is awesome but it just doesn't do it for me.

I have learned the complexities of the journey a young boy thrust into manhood at the age of fourteen when his older brother drowned in a lake, on a farm that he and two other brothers were working on. His brother, Tommy, was his idol, his mentor and most importantly his god. The gift of lyrical expression was thrust within the soul of this boy, to connect with a higher and mightier mentor, to guide him through adulthood. As he grew into a man, a soldier, a husband and a father, the gift took control of the little man as he began to master his craft. Below is an excerpt: REFLECTIONS Reflections of a day gone by, Reminiscing a life so young and wild, A life so free, so simple, so shy, With my hand, I wipe a tear from my eye. Reflections of a day gone past, Keeps flashing in my mind, A loss of innocence, an age too fast, A childhood longed to be found. Reflections scattered in my brain, Like a shattered piece of glass, My thoughts are bouncing everywhere, How long can this insanity last. I long for the days when I see myself, As a child with an imaginary friend, Trading secrets and stories, You see, A child’s heart never ends. Reflections of my brother, Tom, My hero, my mentor, my God, A clone of him did I become, It’s hard to shake off this façade. Reflections of this boyhood man, Forever haunts my soul, A life cut short, he was in his prime, So Wild, So Strong, So Bold. Reflections as I see myself, Age and become a man…, A husband and a father…, A young daughter’s best friend. Reflections as my children grow, And leave the comfort of the nest, No longer can I protect them.., I did a father’s best. So, Lord I’m done reflecting, I’m tired, I’m withered and old, Please lay me down beside thee, My spirit, forever, Please Hold.

I just love these two guys. I really liked that this was from Elliott's POV this time, it really let you learn more about him. I thought this was very real and just a delightful read. Elliott and Derek's dialogue and interactions are so fluid and well written, you can't help but love these guys. I'm assuming that this is their final story? I could read about these guys forever! I highly recommend this series! Start with the first one as they are all related.

While not a particularly well written book, it's one that I enjoyed given my own problems keeping work and family life in their own spheres.

tragic and hilarious at the same time, the way that only a book about an alcoholic drag queen dating a high-end male ho crack addict can be.... suberb writing, really honest and painful yet laugh-out-loud funny. I highly recommend it but not for the weak of stomach.

A fun, fast read-- one of the best villains of all time.

I've felt the same pains as many of the characters within, although not quite from the same view of gender, but they're so familiar for me. Happy my sister introduced this one to me, even if I hesitated to read it originally!

I love this book - I was never particularly interested in knowing more about Jane Austen's life: I was always under the impression it was exceedingly boring. But I loved Tomalin's biography of Pepys so much that I'm reading anything by her that I can get my hands on. And while Austen had far less sex than Pepys, Tomalin still manages to make her life story un-put-downable. As an epigraph for the book, Tomalin chose a quote from Austen's great-nephews: "The uneventful nature of the author's life . . . has been a good deal exaggerated." I'm not sure that I am yet convinced that the nature of Austen's life was eventful, but the nature of Tomalin's account is riveting.
