The wonderful Roald Dahl spun a good tale... Everyone knows this one.. girl with EsP gets set loose on the world – well, not quite. It is quite well written and anyone with half an imagination will well appreciate it. And as always, there is .. a morale to the story!

OK, I wasn't sure about this at first. I'm not an alien person, the thought has never appealed to me. But I saw the movie first (gasp!) and loved it. I did give the book 4 stars at first, but I changed it to 5. Anything that can make me cry that much and have me dying to know what happens next deserves 5 stars :) It's not your typical green headed-big bug eye-slimey aliens. They look like humans (well, the good ones do). They just happen to have superpowers. I won't say exactly why I cried in the book (you'll have to read it!)even though I *knew* what was going to happen, it still got to me. The way the author described everything was great, and I have a habit of throwing myself into whatever I'm reading. There are so many details (as always) in the book that you miss in the movie (although they did a pretty good job). There is only one thing I'm missing from the book and that was Sam's connection to everything. They focused on Sam & his dad in the movie, but didn't so much in the book :/ I'm not quite sure why. I don't know if it was an extra liberty the film company made or what. Anyway, this book is worth the read, and I can't wait until The Power of Six comes out in August.

My Review - I liked this book a lot but I felt like it dragged in some places. It kept me guessing through-out the whole book as to who was the killer. At one point I remember wondering if it was Jay. I will be reading the other books in this series eventually. Pretty good book, 3 stars.
