I might be a bit partial since I think Rachael is pretty awesome, but I am not a romance girl. Or at least I didn't think I was until I read her first book. Her version of romance is suspenseful, sometimes intense, and written in a way that allows for strong male and female characters. The fact that knitting is woven in without being forced is just a bonus!

This companion book to The Quiet Book did not disappoint. I was pleased to see that Deborah Underwood had this book coming out. I also found it interesting to learn she actually had the idea for this book before the Quiet Book. The illustrations are so charming and just plain cute! My 22 month old daughter adores both books. I had never really thought of how many types of "loud" there were and I have some favorites in the book. It makes you think, no matter how old you are. I am using these two books for a Literacy Day Celebration I am participating in. It will be a blast to have the younger children interact with the books.

Not totally convinced. Would it hurt to think positive? No. It helps to have a good attitude. I don't think positive thinking can keep all the bad things in life from happening though. They just do. It's random. We don't have 100 percent control of life, there are other factors involved.
