This book has made me think "What the hell have I been reading in this past years!". Really good story and I actually thought it was true but of course it wasn't. Although the rape part of the book was creepy, everything else just falls in the right places. I don't normally read books with romance in it. But this book's romance was just so sweet I feel like why can't people be like this in real life? Hahaha...the book wasn't confusing at all and goes straight to the point. The vocabulary used was simple to read through XD Bless you Khaled!

Palahniuk is so over-rated. There, I said it. This is the only one of his books I've liked, and I liked the film better. Palahniuk has really great concepts but he's a lousy editor. The ending just kind of beats itself to death. I will always love the way he rough houses with his words and how he chooses such incendiary plot points in order to make his societal thesis come to life - but really, people. Just because his stuff makes you feel "anti establishment" doesn't mean the man's a genius.

Taken as a whole, these short stories were too similar. Damaged/quirky/naive character has a delusion, things happen, delusion is true or false. However, individually these stories were strong. I bet if I'd come across any of them in an anthology, I'd have been sold. (3.5 * is probably a better rating.)
