** spoiler alert ** Ok - I gave this 4 stars because it kept me up at night w/grief, torment, and suspense. However, someone PLEASE give me a knife so I can kill Bella myself! WTF Bella has lost her "stupid" quality and has once again morphed into something entirely different; selfishness and gullibility. (OK, I guess that is still "stupid") UGH!! I'm sorry to admit, I actually don't like Bella in this book. I like Jacob even less and I totally side with Edward and feel his pain. I'll take Edward any day or night. Ahem. Eclipse - Once Edward returns to Bella, young Jacob is forced to deal with the outcome whatever it might be. There is a lot of back and forward between Jacob and Edward forcing Bella to choose her fate and face her emotions head on. However, once again, Bella attracks more trouble then she is worth and a fight ensues but not with whom you might think. This book picked up for me at the "clearing". Yeah, I know. 500 pages later! I have a feeling I know how this saga will end and I really hope that is not the case. On to book 4. ********************************************** Ok - reread this book (since the movie is coming out in June) and yeah, it's still annoying, but this time for some reason it's a little more understanding. Yes, I know, have I gone soft?! The 2nd time around I understood Bella more as well as Jacob. Both of which are young and being young, they want BOTH worlds, which of course we can never have. I understood Jacob's point of view better and the games he played. However, I still side with Edward and his maturity. Anyway....still a fast read but still enjoyable. Looking forward to rereading my favorite of the series - book 4. And very curious on how Hollywood will play book 4.

As I've said before, I've read quite a lot of books about WWII and I thought this book would be more about it. It is really the story of a woman learning who her father really was as she uncovers his career during the war. There was 3 or 4 parts where strong language was used.

رواية لا يسعني وصفها بكلمة او كلمتين رواية رائعة بكل ماتعنيه الكلمات من معاني أحببت الجو والخيال عشت جو القصة حتى شعرت أني شاهدتها مشاهدة طبعا الرواية عبارة عن ثلاث أجزاء غرناطة مريمة الرحيل البدااية كانت حلوة لكن مافهمتها بسرعة فلم ادخل في جو القصة واتحمس من بدايتها بدأت أستوعب أطراف القصة وشخصياتها عندما وصلت لمريمة كنت أقرأ ولا أستطيع التوقف من الجميل أن القصة لا تتحدث عن شخص أو تتمحور على شخصية واحدة تكون هي البطل بل كانت مثل الأجيال المتتابعة ابتداء بأبو جعفر و سليمة ومريمة وحسن وانتهائا بعلي .. اعتقد أن نهاية القصة كانت تقريباً مفتوحة فللقارئ أن يتصور ما سيحدث بعد ذلك كنت اتوقع نهاية محددة فهذا ماأفضله انصح بقراءة الروااية طبعا --------- انهيت قراءة الرواية للمرة الثانية وكأني أقرأها للمرة الأولى، تأثرت في نفس المواقف واعجبتني نفس المقاطع وفي اشياء كثير توني افهمها هذه رواية ليست كالرواية، تحكي عن الزمن أكثر وهذا افضل واجمل ما فيها تجسد لي الصراع من أجل البقاء، من أجل المبادئ،، من أجل الحياة !! التغيير اللي حصل، والذي لحق بالجميع صغيرا وكبيرا تغيير جذري، للأماكن، واللغة وحتى الاسماء فهم يعمدون إلى محو هويتك حتى لا تتعرف على نفسك أبشع انواع التعامل ! كل شي حولك وفيك يتغير، حتى تلتبس عليك الأمور ولا تستطيع التمييز بين مالك وما عليك بين حقك، وحقوقهم عليك ترى بعينك الظلم ولا تستطيع ابعاده شعور العجز جمييل تصويره في القصة أحببت مشاعر سليمة، أحببت حديثها لنفسها وتفكيرها بنوعية المشاعر اللتي ترى انها تناسب الموقف احب حسن ونعيم، ومرور السنوات قلتها من قبل، واعيدها الكاتبة بطلة في تصوير مرور السنين وتبدل الأجيال وكبر العيال، وتغير الأماكن ! هي رواية غير الروايات أنصح بقرائتها

Stanley, the cave-man who likes to plant flowers and be nice to people. How weird! But, of course, we learn the value of such things. I like that there isn't major moralizing to belabor the point. It is a cute, fun story.

Alan Moore is frequently brilliant, and this is probably my favorite of all his books. Funny as hell without losing its serious edge; great mash-up of a ton of classic literary characters with plenty of references to even more. This is a comic I use to try and lure friends into reading comics- the writing is smart, the characters are excellent, and it is endlessly enjoyable. Too bad the movie was hideously bad. Hideously, hideously awful.
