I liked this book a lot: Lots of family sagas and plot movement. Yes, the language is a little bit archaic, but hey, it's classic literature! Becky Sharp, the orphaned daughter of a Parisian actress, is very determined to make do all sort of ridiculous social machinations. She's a piece of work. I thought that the movie with whats-her-name was a poor rendition of the novel.

so far im liking this book that im reading in my class, so far were at the part where bud escaped from the shed and got revenge on the other kid who got him in trouble by putting his fingers in hot water to make him wet the3 bed but it didnt work so he poured it on his pants and it worked, i think i will likwe this book.

Honestly, this is a great comic which makes great use of Darwyn Cooke's unique style. It was even made into a great animated movie.

Great. Gripping story that keeps pushing me to read the others. I have seen the movies but i have enjoyed reading the stories just about as much as I enjoy watching the movies if not more. Relaxing read but very suspenseful at times, found my self worrying about characters and cheering for good movies even though i already had seen the movies.
