A deep definition of some words, portrayed in story form. There are many encouraging stories, quips, & quotes. I would say this is worth the read, but it wasn't the ground-breaking work that I was expecting.

This book took me forever to read because I'm new to the classics and usually I read things that are much lighter. I did enjoy the book. I like Jane Eyre, I found that she was a very strong woman with principles for someone in her time (and with her history). I LOATHED Mr. Rochester - I think he's the biggest jackass on the planet, but any book that gets me that worked up over a character - the author knows what she's doing. I liked how Jane Eyre loves him despite his flaws and all - and there are a lot of them. Over all, I really liked it. It was a good intro to the classics genre.

These are very dry little pieces, little hypotheticals that are extremely entertaining. If you enjoy a kindof absurdist, random humor, these imagined scenarios will have you choking back moist snorts of glee. Interesting biographical note: The author is the son of noted columnist Frank Rich. Head-smacking biographical note: he's like 21 years old. Prodigies suck. I agree with Melissa that the movie is actually tighter and better plotted than the book. However, I really enjoyed the book. It's a good story and definitely original. And I did like that the end of the book, while a little messier than the movie, is nicely weird and creepy.

This book would've been great except it used a very bad word once plus some other things (including the main character getting intoxicated by eating fruit,(and she knew beforehand what could happen) why would someone be so stupid?)
