Interesting up-close and well researched account of the financial scandals that caused the meltdown of the Argentine economy in the 1990's. Not a lot of personal details, as the writer is a financial reporter with the Washington Post and only sent to Argentina at the beginning of the scandal when the economy went bust. However a fascinating overview of a recent, modern-day financial collapse of our time.

This is a very cute picute book. The illustrations and colors are wonderfully exclamatory!! The elements of fear and surprise are both present when four chickens discover life on the farm. This book would be appropriate for pr-K through gr. 2.

I enjoyed this little mystery/thriller. It was pretty twisted..thus the title..lol but I liked it. I will read some more of Jonathan Kellerman.

Very well written, but seemed to be endless. Lots of new characters are added along with their whole back-story even past halfway into the book. It seems like it could have been edited down. There were side stories in here that don't really pertain to the main plot of the book. The sided stories were still interesting in themselves, but made the book seem too long for my taste. Overall, though, the author did an incredible job putting all the details/pieces of the puzzle together for an ending that didn't disappoint.

It was fantastic, especially if you're looking for perspective, encouragement, a poke in the behind to get moving. P.S. Not just for women either... It had some great thoughts everyone would benefit from.

strawberry muffins--very tender and sweet. Too sweet for an everyday muffin. brownies--gross. granola--good, and fairly nutritious, but too sweet and not clumpy enough. almond avalanche bars--dense. Tasty, but almost had a health-food taste because of the almond meal. party mix bars--fun and an excuse to buy Karo corn syrup. Why that pleases me, I'm not sure. caramel sauce (from the macchiato cheesecake recipe)--tastes like See's caramel lollipops! Salty-sweet. Mmm. Good over pears. Solid at room temperature. want to try: matcha tiramisu turtle shortbread cookie pie

I picked this book up for a dollar when a certain bookstore was going out of business - so I didn't have much invested in it. It was a nice read, but got very religious. However, it was told from a sceptic's point of view, and didn't feel like it was trying to convert anyone. Then suddenly it took a twist towards the end and everything just ended all neat and tidy. It was like the author got bored with the book at that point and just wanted to finish. Not a bad book, but I won't read it again.
