I enjoyed the book because it focuses on one particular type of catfish, and that happens to be the one that I own and adore. I do wish that the photograph captions and the graphs had been better designed.

Not that interesting or precocious, so the author was very little, she did not hold as much insite as everyone seems to think.

I was really worried about this book. For one, I'm just plain sick of zombies (with very few exceptions) and have been since they remade Dawn of the Dead in 2004. I guess I more so hate the mainstream zombie craze that started shortly after proving that no one can think for themselves and like whatever they're presented with. The Walking Dead TV show sucks by the way. Secondly, I'm not a Vegan, nor a vegetarian for that matter. Hell, I really love meat! I had this book sitting on my shelf for a while now and finally decided to read it. I really thought this book was going to come off preachy, but I was extremely surprised that it didn't. It actually raises a lot of good points and makes you think. The biggest one is why we as humans value ourselves so highly. In the grand scheme of things we are nothing. We are destroyers of this planet. People really should purposely stop breeding, at least for the sake of population control. YOU DON'T NEED 8 KIDS, YOU INCOMPETENT WHORE! Anyway, David Agranoff's "The Vegan Revolution...with Zombies" is a breath of fresh air. He knows the zombie genre is played out so he sticks with the roots cramming in tons of nerd knowledge for the people who liked the genre before it was trendy. Plus there's a healthy dose of hipster bashing along the way. This made me smile. A LOT. Oh yeah, and Juggalos! I sincerely thank you David for putting Juggalos in your book. I was honestly waiting for a Bizarro writer to finally touch on the subject of Juggalos. Thank you. In closing, this book KICKS ASS! If you're on the fence, READ IT!

I really like Lewis Black. A lot. However, this book was a failed attempt to blend his humor with a look at various religions. The humor was lacking, save a few laugh out loud moments, and the religious insight was shallow and incomplete. The tone never felt right. And on top of that all, the play at the end was dreadful. A much better, successful attempt at this topic (albeit in another medium) is Bill Maher's Religulous.
I vaguely remember being intrigued.

Will Herondale is driven. He must find the demon who cursed him years ago, and he requires the assistance of Magnus Bane to do it. But what exactly is this curse? He won't even tell Magnus. Bendict Lightwood is also driven. It seems that all he wants in the world is to see the Institute pried from Charlotte's hands and placed into his. He doesn't see her fit to run such an important place, and he makes sure everyone knows it. But is that really all there is to the story? Either way, the Consul gives Charlotte an ultimatum: Find the Magister in two weeks, or Lightwood gets the Institute. And so the madness begins. Mortmain is playing mind games. At first, they could trust only each other. But when a spy turns up in their midst, even that is challenged. It seems no matter what they do, it's what Mortmain expected and wants. Should Charlotte just give up? And as Will's been such a jerk, and seeing as he's been gone more than ever these days, Tessa and Jem are growing closer and closer, right under everyone's noses. But something is going on with Will. Suddenly, he's being almost a gentleman? The walls that he worked so hard to build all these years are crumbling, no matter how hard he tries to prop them up. All in all, there's not a whole lot of action. This is mainly character devolepment. But still...oh man. Cassandra Clare and her plot twists. Even though there isn't really any fighting going on, you're never bored. Not for a second. The cliff hanger at the very end...it killed me. When I get my hands on Princess, I'm hiding in my room and reading it straight through. -ahem- Team Jem. Loved seeing him on the cover!

Read in 2000 at recommendation of my mom. I haven't watched Dr Phil for a long time. I like his ideas.

I enjoyed this book that tells the story of the Algerian city, Onan under the siege of bubonic plague. Through the observations of the narrator, the reader is presented with some existential questions; exile and separation from loved ones and on a metaphysical level of isolation and separation from human lives, that humans live in an indifferent universe with no rational meaning or order, ethical position to act in a way that is benefit to the whole, how people relate to religion in the time of disaster, The story is also an allegory; the plague representing German occupation of France during WWII. The narrator shares his observation of several characters and how they cope with the plague; the doctors, politicians, priest, and various other characters. The sea is used in Camus's work to suggest life and freedom. The people in the city have to go out of their way to see the sea. The town has it's back turned away from life.
