اسرار التوحید، شرحی ست "در مقامات شیخ ابی سعید ابوالخیر"، از صوفیان معروف قرون چهارم و پنجم هجری که توسط یکی از نواده گانش "محمدبن منور"، حدود یک قرن پس از مرگ ابی سعید نوشته شده. روایت شفیعی کدکنی، همراه با تصحیح و توضیحات تازه، از روایت های معروف به "ژوکوفسکی"، "بهمنیار" و "صفا"، مطمئن تر بنظر می رسد، چرا که کدکنی نه تنها خود از خطه ی خراسان است و بیش از راویان و مصححان دیگر به زبان و نثر زیبای خراسانی در قرون اولیه ی پس از اسلام، تسلط دارد، بلکه در میزان و عمق مطالعه و تتبعاتش در متون قدیمی، بر آنها ارجحیت دارد. اسرارالتوحید، از شیوا ترین نمونه های نثر قرون اولیه ی پس از اسلام است که خواندن توام با دقت و درک آن، حجم فرهنگ فارسی خواننده را به شکلی گسترده وسعت می بخشد. زنده یاد ذبیح الله صفا در وصف زیبایی نثر و کوتاهی جملات و کاربرد کلمات و ترکیبات اصیل پارسی و مهارت در حکایات و بسیاری از ویژگی های دیگر این نثر شیوا سخن گفته، و زنده یاد بهمنیار در باره ی اسرارالتوحید گفته؛ با وجود گذشت نزدیک به هشت قرن از تالیف کتاب، خواننده ی فارسی زبان امروزی تصور می کند این نثر شیوا به قلم ماهرترین نویسنده ی فارسی زبان قرن حاضر نوشته شده است. اسرارالتوحید همراه با چند کتاب دیگر نظیر "ژنده پیل، در احوالات شیخ احمد جام"، "نامه های عین القضات همدانی"، "منشات قائم مقام" و... از جمله کتبی ست که به توصیه ی ابوالحسن نجفی همه جا همراه من بوده اند. خود را سخت مدیون نجفی می دانم که سفارش کرد برای یادگیری بهتر زبان فارسی و آشنایی با طناری ها و ظرافت های این زبان، این کتاب ها را بخوانم.

Very different, but very awesome. :3 A cyborg Cinderella is just freaking brilliant. The world was so unique and original and compelling, it was hard to think that a world like that could come to life in someone's head. But it did with me, and it was vivid. <3 I could picture the setting perfectly. Marissa totally nailed it on the head with "world-building" skills.

The Sun Also Rises is basically a book about expats getting drunk. Not the recipe for a good book, in my opinion, but emingway's bare bones writing style is acclaimed by some. I still cannot figure out why.

Awesome! I got this on the Kindle and I do believe this was a novella, at any rate a short, quick read. Good character development. Some of the science was lacking, but the character development made up the shortfall. The only negative I have for this is the time jumping in the story. This was more of an issue I think because I read the electronic version, so it was difficult for me to flip back and double check if I was reading about the now or the past. A little bit more exposition to leave time markers for the reader could only help this novella out. Great, unexpected twist at the end. Well done.

Well, this book doesn't even hide it's agenda, still, it has enough evidence to be worth heeding. If you've always wondered, who the heck was Mao anyway, this book claims to know. Perhaps it is right on. Regardless, his actions are certainly those of a man who really knew how to manipulate and terrorize people. Also shines extra light on other world events. Very good if you are willing to read a long book.
