This has to be a joke. Someone was able to write a series about a spoiled little rich girl crying over her husband making her go on a budget? I couldn't read past the first chapter it was so bad. This is one series I am staying far away from. If I could give this negative stars, I would...I want my 20 minutes back!

I never read this book cover to cover, but I read many sections of it and used it more as a resource. It has lots of interesting ideas for talking about philosophical ideas with elementary students. I've never taught one of the lessons/activities straight from the book, but I think I've incorporated a lot of its bits and pieces in the past two years.

This was the first-ever Roald Dahl book I have actually read. (I know, it's craziness. I'm not sure how I went through childhood without them.) I really enjoyed it but my adult brain kept creeping in, thinking that chemically speaking, George's Marvelous Medicine and it's other three iterations would end up being poisonous or explode or something. I don't usually have a problem suspending disbelief, but the rational brain was just a little too loud on this one. Excellent book, and I really did enjoy it.

Another "on the edge of your seat", page turner Grisham novel...Full of government espionage, spying, an insight into the high end legal world and all done with a sense of humor...Loved it...Go Grisham!!!!

This was an enjoyable novel that occasionally suffers from the rather annoying "it's so realistic/modern that it's going to try to floor you" formula. Most aspects of the plot are not very original, with the cheating wife (and accompanying sharp-witted child), college junkie past of the protagonist, etc. The most humorous bit I found in the book was Milo's reaction to the unicyclist that nearly nicks him in the park when he stumbled upon his wife picnicking with Paul.

It was a fight for survival in the first book and the story continues with all the Hunger game victors must go back! Katniss is no longer fighting to stay alive for herself, but for the people she loves. It’s a moving story of Katniss's drive to protect the people that mean the most to her. She can barely keep her own emotions in check, but she is so good at not losing sight of what’s most important.

So when I was in the 7th grade, Mrs. Randall (formerly Sr. Mary Randall, an ex-nun) FORCED this pile of garbage upon me and the rest of my unsuspecting classmates. I was an advanced reader and it was a relatively short, easy to swallow book but it took me FOREVER TO READ IT. because it was THAT FUCKING BORING. It's about this stupid snot of a kid whose parents are getting divorced (mom and dad broke up! boo-hoo :'( i'm scarred for life now!) and somehow his plane goes down in the wilderness of Canada (which I can admit is the scariest fucking thing I can possibly think of. I'd rather be faced with the zombie apocalypse or a gang of mass murdering rapists than being stuck in the middle of Canada) so snot-face has to learn to survive on his own. He has a hatchet that his mom gave him (though I really can't say what possessed her to give her poor no-one-wants-me warning signs of future school shootings son a HATCHET, but she does) and he eventually stops crying and figures out how to pick berries and chop trees. Or saplings. Or something. I don't know. All I know is, this is the worst book EVER. UGH. And Mrs. "Ex-Nun" Randall made us watch the MOVIE, too. it was TORTURE.

This play is hysterical. I love it.
